i realize that google, and the concept/habit of googling, is new. brand spanking new, actually, if you view the overall history of technology. i also realize that if you spent 90% of your life without google, and if computers aren't a fun and amazing hobby for you, you probably won't think "hey i can google that!" right off the bat ( Read more... )

early this morning, a gasoline tanker truck crashed into a pylon (big concrete thing) beneath the ramp that funnels traffic off the SF bay bridge into oakland. the driver walked away, and no one was on that part of the freeway, but the resulting fire destabalized the ramp, and it collapsed ( Read more... )
